Lovely antique large oblong cloth, suitable for large dining table.  Looks fabulous under glass.    Cloth measures 72 inches (182 cms) long 52 inches (132 cms) wide so is very large.  It is made from soft off-white cotton thread and crocheted all over.  The pattern used gives scalloped-edge effect.

This cloth is from deceased estate so do not know its origins.  believe it to be very old but has been stored carefully and is clean and fresh with no tea or other food/drink stains that can see.  However, it is very fragile.  There are few sections where threads have become loose and couple of larger areas (see picture) where the threads have come apart.  These are on the overhang of the cloth near the edge.   These need attention and feel could be repaired by anyone with fine crochet hook, crochet skills and good eyesight!   Unfortunately don't have any of these!

This cloth looks great on large or medium-sized table.  The damaged sections are not on the main part of the cloth which would sit on top of the table.    This cloth does need careful storage and handling.   Ideally it would be best under glass this this is of course only an option.
