Rustic very beautiful green glaze ceramic oil lamp. Made in China circa 1800s.The green glaze lamp has lovely thick  glaze. It covers the entire lamp except for the base.The base is larger for catching burnt wicks.The surface is slightly crackled due to age.These lamps were used in homes before the arrival of  electricity. small pin dish would be put on top of the lamp. It will be filled with cooking oil with wick and lighted. Most homes in villages had them. Most were discarded after homes had electricity.The lamp is old and dirty. have not cleaned it. It is in excellent condition.Height: 15.5 cmThe battery is there for size comparison only.
