Seller notes:	“No key, but brass lock is present. Main work is to the back - left has strip of bone inlay missing (3.5 cms) and to the other corner at the back there is a part missing strip (1 cm). Brass hinges good. The bone strip inlay is present to the front of the lid, but is missing to the back and sides. Lid is lined with blue material. Small other general tiny bits of tidying needed. No worm, burns or splits. Good looking box.”

This auction is for:-
A very pretty and beautifully carved, bone inlaid box
the top showing two tigers and palm tree, surrounded by foliate
decoration.
There is bone (?) inlay, some of which requires repair.

The box requires degree of restoration. most of which have detailed in
the condition description, but there may be something have missed.

I think the wood is sandalwood, but this is not definate.
