exquisite octagonal pine  vintage Chinese wedding basket.The basket was made in the 20th entury .Thr basket is made from pine and bamboo and is lacquered and stunningly decorated.It has brass handle for hanging it traditional from pole at the tip.Food was placed inside and then the whole basket would have been used to steam heat the food.
 The basket has decoration depicting flowers on the lid and around the basket.A lovely item in good vintage condition with the handle with one damage edge as seen on the last pic but doesn't detract from this lovely piece
