Six Old Washstand Tiles
A set of old tiles removed from the back of an early marble topped washstand beyond restoration.  They measure about 154mm  X  154mm (that is, inches  X inches) and are 10mm thick.   They are quite heavy, weighing combined 2.8kg, so please remember this if you choose to bid.
They have design of flowers and leaves in gorgeous pinky brown colours.  No maker's name on the back, just pattern number and an impressed in circle.
I'm guessing the old stand they came from was made between 1880 and 1900 from its style and proportions, so that suggests the age of these tiles.
They're all in really good original condition.  There's just little surface crazing, which is really hard to see.   Very few chips  -  please see the photos.
It's very hard to get complete sets of these old tiles, especially in good original condition.   Repros can cost $30 to $40 each, and don't have the fantastic patina of these originals.   Just the thing if you are restoring fine old washstand.   Thanks for looking.
