Pierre Cardin, noted world wide as prominent designer, from high end clothing to chic furniture.  In the 1970's Pierre Cardin mixed different metals together in furniture design and its still popular today.
This wonderful chrome & brass cage style dining base is great example.  This table base is in EXCELLENT showroom condition ! 
Very well taken care of, great piece to mix with almost any decor. 

Shown with an octagon glass top, although many table top styles would work.  We are not able to ship the octagon top, therefore it is not part of this auction, however should new owner desire to have it, you are welcome to arrange shipping, otherwise we will ship the base greyhound.  am sure the top was quite an expensive piece, large octagon in shape with beveled edge, 1/2" thick.  There is one small nip to the edge (shown in photo), as courtesy we could have smoothed out by local glass company.

Base measures measure 28 1/2" tall 19 3/4" square
