Item Description

A late 19th century, ruby red glass centerpiece bowl made in Czechoslovakia that it is stunning both in the decoration and the execution.

The glass-work is very high quality. The outer flange was spun, the center of the bowl is formed with ribbed flutes, and the polished ground pontil is partially covered with the remnant of glued on paper label.

Also, this bowl is not common, can find none others like it anywhere on the Internet, and it may be one of kind.

The bowl is 15-1/2 inches in diameter inches tall. The glass is very deep ruby red color. The gold is profusely applied and the delicate flowers are in pastel gouache enamels.
