This handsome Victorian box has great polished mahogany veneers with small inlaid escutcheon. Very good looking box, stands well, couple of small filled areas at the back, hardly noticeable. green felt is fitted to the base for furniture protection. Internally it has its original stay open hinges and lock but no key. There is fitted lift out tray which has numerous sections some of which have dark green velvet to the bottom. The walls of the box are covered in green leather effect paper with dark green velvet to the bottom and underside of the lid to good affect. nice box suitable for jewellery, sewing items etc. measuring 11" 8" 1/2" wear commensurate to age.
