Exquisite antique Chinese famille verte (green pallette) porcelain plate. Circa early 1800s.The beautiful hand painted plate has Chilin mythical animal, in the centre medallion. Painted near the chilin are beautifully painted birds, rock formation, trees and flowers. The rim is meticulously painted with floral design and 12 small circles. The circles has the symbol of longevity and letters written in the Manchurian script. The family of Qing Emperor were from Manchuria.The design is enhanced by real gold on the rim and other parts of the plate.There is no reign mark on the back of the plate but it is beautiful with typical glaze from the Qing Dynasty. The rim of the bottom also display similar quality of Qing porcelain.This is beautiful plate and hard to come by. There are couple of tiny hairlines on the surface of the plate. They are not noticeable.There is no hairline on the bottom.Diameter: 25.5 cmThe battery is there for size comparison only.
