Up for auction is set of matching Chinese 2nd Rank Lion Mandarin Squares. This is silk embroidery done upon satin with the image depicting lion with its open mouth, mane, back hair, and curled tail, which would be worn by 2nd Rank Military Officials in Imperial China during the Qing Dynasty.This set includes the full square worn on the back, measuring approximately 12" by 11", and the split square worn in the front, both pieces measuring approximately 6" by 11".
