Antique Solid Walnut Chest of Drawers
This antique solid walnut dresser dates from the mid to late 1800's.The top is solid walnut made from two boards. The face of each drawer has book match crotch veneer with hand carved handles. The outline of the veneer has shapely edges. The drawers are doweled together with 3/8" thick single board bottoms for very strong and sturdy construction. The front corners of the dresser have applied turned designs. On either side of the dresser there are recessed panels. This is an excellent example of well constructed piece of furniture from the Victorian Age.
