On offer is this vintage French sterling silver piece desk set seal and letter opener.  Both with highly detailed handles, featuring embossed flowers/scrolls and teardrops, central shield cartouche on both sides which is unmonogrammed.  Seal has the initials 'GM' (or 'MG') on the base.Stamped with the Minerva head for silver and lozenge shape containing the markers mark, cannot make out who to attribute this to.Seal stands 5cm tall.  The 'stamp' of the seal measures 1.7cm 1cm.  Total weight of 9g.The letter opener measures 13.25cm in length. With steel blade, total weight of 19g.In good condition could benefit even further by polish. Some wear to the steel of the letter opener with age.
