Here is beautiful, high quality twin fusee bracket clock, it was made by JAs MURRAY", royal exchange, London. This original clock dates between 1825, before he was in partnership with Strahan at 19 Sweetings Alley, and 1838 when Royal exchange was destroyed by fire. Movement says James Murray, Royal exchange, London".

James Murray was watch and chronometer maker of great repute, and active in London between circa 1810 and the 1840s.

He was born in 1780 and gained his Freedom of the Clockmakers' Company in 1815, was elevated to the Livery in 1817 and is thought to have worked until his death in 1847. He is perhaps best known as maker of marine chronometers and other precision timekeepers; James Weddell took three chronometers supplied by Murray on his third Antarctic expedition 1822-4.

His clocks were consistently of the highest quality and amongst the finest of the period.

Clock is in good working condition, chime strikes every hour.

The case is in good condition for its age, the glass face is thick and in very good condition. You can see in the pictures, the pendulum seems bend, it is bend but it is original, not damage and the clock works well with the pendulum.

It will come with original pendulum and two keys one for open glass face; one for wind up the movement).
