On offer is this large capacity, antique silver plated tea pot.  Sitting up on an elaborate intertwined base/four feet, the pot has been engraved with flowing 'Art Nouveau' stylised flowers and intertwining scrolls. central cartouche on both sides unmonogrammed.  Floral etching to the lid.
Base is marked with 'Britannia Philip Ashberry & Sons Sheffield Patent Non Conducting Handle  7 1921 D'.  The Britannia Philip Ashberry & Sons Sheffield mark was in use between 1861 and c1914.Dimensions:  Stands approx 22cm to top of the finial.  Spans 27.5cm handle to spout.  Holds approx 2L cups.  Heavy, raw unpackaged weight of 1.296kg.Presents well and in its current state is for display only.  The spout has had some resoldering at some point and there is the slightest of leaks at this point.  There is also small split in the middle of the foot where the pot joins the foot (see last photo) which is also causing dripping leak (will require resoldering/repair). There is black patch on the spout (when handle on the left) which looks like burning when the soldering was done.  Otherwise there are the usual surface scratches, minor dings and wear marks consistent with pot of this age/use. Please consider photos. Ripe for getting another lease on life, or use purely as decorative display.
